We stopped here because of the good reviews, and the excellent price for diesel. The price was for cash or check, and did not include an additional discount for the overnight stay. The dockmaster and owner were very welcoming and efficient. They were interested in how we heard of them, and were trying to figure out how best to invest in advertising. We of course told them Active Captain, which made them happy.
The courtesy car is necessary to get to the store, but $10. is a bit much.
I wouldn't mind $5 at all since I usually put that much $ of gas in a courtesy car anyway. We still took it twice, one day to shop and the next day we were able to go to Beaufort across the bridge, and saw the Maritime Museum and took a short walk around town.
Don't miss Floyd's 1921 restaurant - a very short walk. Highly recommended by the staff and well worth it - possibly the best restaurant meal we have had all trip. Very fresh seafood and the vegetables were cooked right.
Top Notch marina! 2013-04-03

We have made a habit of stopping here on our travels up and down the coast.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the facility is clean and has everything you need. A loaner van is available to go shopping, and GREAT restaurants are within walking distance. Our favorite is Floyd's 1921. The docks are full of beautiful boats to look at too! This is Jarrett Bay country! We also appreciate the Sea Tow discount! WE'll be back!
Good place to stop when heading South 2012-10-18

We were recommended to stop here on our way south, after having bad experiences at Beaufort. Access was easier to docks and ICW, and Duane and the dock crew were great. Good docks, facilities and price was much better with BoatUS discounts on dockage and fuel. Will definitely stop here again.
Best in Town! 2012-10-01
We've stayed here several times and it is always nice. Very protected.
Nice floating docks. Nice shower facilities. Easy walk to several good seafood restaurants, shops, news stand and Convenience Store. Dock hands very helpful. 90 Cable TV Channels (great after having no cable for months in the Chesapeake!)
There is a charge for the "courtesy" car. Otherwise, we'd give it 5 stars.
Calm in the storm 2012-09-23

The general area here is very crowded, boat traffic wise, particllarly coming from the west on the ICW, but the Yacht Basin is a quiet oasis.
Marina head Mike is a very pleasant and knowledgable fellow. Convenient restaurants within walking distance. Transient dockage on the inside is an easy in and out.
